Please note: Due to COVID-19, our business office is not open to the public, including parents. If you are dropping off paperwork for your student, please leave it in an envelope in the mailbox at the front of our building. You are responsible for making copies of original documents, such as birth certificates.


Watertown City School District

Benchmark offers Universal Pre-K programs through the Watertown City School District for 3-year-old and 4-year-old students. Our classrooms are located at Ohio Street Elementary and Knickerbocker Elementary schools. Students attend in person 5 days each week for 5 hours each day.

Enrollment in this program is a two-step process:

  1. Enroll with the Watertown City School District.
  2. Once the district has accepted your child into the program, we will mail or email (if an email address was provided to the District) the Benchmark enrollment packet. Please complete this packet and return it to Benchmark along with all required documentation.

If your have misplaced your child’s packet or it was damaged, you may download a new packet here.

Please note:

  1. There is NO bus transportation for Pre-K.
  2. Free breakfast and lunch are included.
  3. You do not need to purchase school supplies, but your child will need a complete change of clothing (including socks and underwear), as well as a clear plastic water bottle. These items will be kept in the classroom. Please ensure everything is labeled with your child’s name.

Carthage Centeral School District

Benchmark offers Universal Pre-K programs through the Carthage Central School District for 4-year-old students. Our classrooms are located at Black River, Carthage, and West Carthage Elementary Schools. Students attend in person 2 days a week and virtual 1 day per week. Students are placed in either Cohort A (Monday-Wednesday) or Cohort B (Wednesday-Friday).

Enrollment in this program is based on a lottery system, NOT a first-come, first-served system.

To enroll, download and complete the enrollment packet and supplemental forms from the School District website, then return the completed packet to Benchmark along with all required documentation.

Please note:

  1. Bus transportation is provided.
    However, students can only ride the bus after they have turned 4. If your student is still 3 at the beginning of the school year, parents are responsible for transportation until the child turns 4.
  2. Free or reduced-rate lunches are available to qualifying students.
    You will receive the forms to complete during the first week of school.
  3. You do not need to purchase school supplies, but your child will need a complete change of clothing (including socks and underwear), as well as a clear plastic water bottle. These items will be kept in the classroom. Please ensure everything is labeled with your child’s name.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

It is important for schools to have up-to-date contact information for a child’s family or guardian and emergency contacts. If you move, change your phone number, or need to add or remove someone from your emergency contact list, please complete a new emergency contact form.
